Hi, I'm Danylo Boleyko, a Full‑Stack & Backend Engineer currently based in Limassol, Cyprus. Over the past several years I've been building production web applications and data-intensive services with Vue/Nuxt, FastAPI, and Python, focusing on clear architectures, reliable automations, and measurable performance and cost improvements.
I started with front-end development and later completed a degree in Software Engineering. Along the way I shifted toward backend and data work: APIs, orchestration (Prefect/Airflow), databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse), and LLM-backed features such as summaries, Q&A, and sentiment analysis. This mix of skills helps me design systems that are both practical to build and efficient to run in production.
My approach is rooted in clarity, reliability, and observability. I believe good systems start with understanding real use cases: data flows, performance constraints, and business goals. From there I focus on:
designing clean, well-documented APIs - building robust pipelines with retries, monitoring, and cost awareness - keeping code simple, testable, and maintainable over the long term
Whether I'm shaping a FastAPI service, a Vue/Nuxt front end, or a Prefect/Airflow flow, my goal is to deliver solutions that are easy to reason about, straightforward to extend, and stable in production.
I enjoy working with large volumes of data, automations, and AI-powered features. The most interesting part of my work is turning complex, noisy processes into predictable, observable pipelines and integrating LLMs in ways that actually help users instead of just looking flashy.
I'm always looking to learn: new patterns in backend architecture, better ways to structure front-end state and components, and more efficient approaches to data processing and infrastructure.
Outside of work, I like exploring new places (currently around Cyprus), learning more about systems design and data engineering, and occasionally experimenting with side projects that combine automation, APIs, and AI.
